The Housing Association or local authority council has a duty to look after the property in which you are living in to make sure that standards are met and maintained. If these standards are neglected then we may be able to assist in helping you claim for the repairs to be undertaken.
The landlord has a duty to perform repairs in a reasonable period of time to the following:
- Structure and appearance of the home including walls, windows and the roof;
- Toilets, basins, pipes and draines ;
- Heating and water systems ;
- Ventilation;
- Electrical systems and wiring ;
- Gas appliances.
If you have previously notified the landlord or the defects and the landlord refuses to perform the repairs then you may be able to make a claim against them to force them to carry out the required works.
Our solicitors can provide a free initial consultation to discuss whether we may be able to assist with a claim.
We will run your claim on a Conditional Fee Agreement (“CFA”), more commonly referred to as a ‘No Win No Fee’ agreement. This means that if you lose you claim, you do not owe us a penny. If your noise induced hearing loss claim is successful, our costs will be recovered from the Defendant. We will take a percentage of your damages, up to a maximum of 25%.
